Description
The Battery Command (BC) post for Battery Moore at Fort Casey is a sturdy, concrete structure that provides a view over the top of the battery for effective targeting. A captain would have commanded the battery from this post during the time it guarded Admiralty Inlet. Battery Moore was armed with three 10 inch rifles on disappearing carriages. Fort Casey was part of the Triangle of Fire Coast Artillery emplacements that protected the entrance to Puget Sound. April, 2021.
