Description
Battery Moore, on either side of the left battery control tower, and Battery Worth, the two emplacements on the right end, were coast artillery Triangle of Fire batteries that protected Admiralty Inlet. Battery Moore originally mounted three 10" guns. Emplacement 3 was transferred to Battery Kingsbury in 1943 and re-mounted with an anti-aircraft gun. Battery Worth had two 10" guns. All of the original guns were removed for scrap in 1942-43. Fort Casey overlooks Puget Sound and the ferry route that connects Port Townsend and Ebey's Landing. November, 2021.
