West of Mt. Vernon, Washington, the Skagit Valley is flat and fertile farmland. Apples, potatoes, corn, tulips, and berries grow in abundance. Many of the farms have traditional red barns. This image caught my eye because it was framed by the pink apple blossoms, a lovely contrast.
