Semiahmoo Spit is now the home of an ocean front county park and resort. Years ago, Semiahmoo was the site of a salmon processing plant and cannery. This rusted roof structure, sitting above Drayton Harbor on aging pilings, was a cannery building, and is still used to store recreation equipment for the resort. The pilings on the lower left stabilize the sandy shore.
