Description
Blaine Pier in Washington, and White Rock, BC, face each other across Semiahmoo Bay which sits at the western end of the US-Canada border. The pier was once the site of several salmon canneries. Each cannery had its own wharf. These rotting, weathered pilings are all that is left of some of the wharf structures, memories of a bygone age, a peek into history. The tide is out and the tide flats are exposed around the pilings in the Bay. September, 2016.
