Mt Baker and Refinery from Anacortes. Mt Baker, in its snow-clad brilliance even in May, rises behind a wind-blown plume of steam from one of two oil refineries on March Point in Padilla Bay, east of Anacortes. Mt Baker is 40 miles east of the refinery, as a crow flies, but a long lens appears to compress the distance. May, 2016.
