Description
So-Bahli-Alhi Glacier glistens in the afternoon sun on the north side of snow-dusted Whitehorse Mountain. High piles of graded sawdust and wood chips in the foreground are produced by milling logs at the Hampton Lumber Mills in Darrington, Washington. SR 530 enters Darrington from the north, then travels west along the base of Whitehorse Mountain through the valley of the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River, past the Oso Landslide Memorial and the small community of Oso.
