Description
The Astoria-Megler Bridge is four miles long, stretching from Astoria, Oregon, to the Washington shore of the Columbia River. The bridge is long enough that it is difficult to capture its entire, majestic length. This is looking west in early October, towards the mouth of the Columbia, past the Washington end of the bridge, on the right. The shot is from Dismal Nitch, the location of a temporary campsite of the Corps of Discovery. The name and spelling are Captain Clark's. October, 2017.
