Description
The shore of the Skagit River on this late August day is sandy, dry near the trees on the right, damp on the left close to the river. On rainy days, this shore can be a mud pit, and that's when four wheel drive pickups, often on lifters with huge, cleated tires that leave deep tire tracks, power through the mud - the joy of vroom. This image looks west. Burlington is on the other side of the high berm that is the horizon, where the Skagit River bends to the left and south.
