Description
In mid-summer, the Skagit River is low, low enough for visitors to wade into the river. The river flows between Burlington, near shore, and Mt Vernon, and the receding river exposes a sandy beach. Concrete piers of the BNSF rail bride step across the river in the center of the image, and wild parsnip decorates the shoreline. August, 2020.
