Description
A moss-draped concrete pillar stands in the Baker River amid changing autumn leaves. The pillar supported a rail bridge, now gone, that was used by the Seattle and Northern, and then the Great Northern, railways that traveled through the small town of Concrete from Anacortes on the coast to Rockport nine miles east of Concrete on the Skagit River. A fence around the Baker River Hydroelectric Project is in the foreground. October, 2020.
