Description
A stout wooden trestle bridge carries the South Bay Trail from Boulevard Park to Fairhaven. In the middle of the area circled by the trestle near the Taylor Street Dock is a large rock, near the center of this image. The rock is actually a pile of rusted tin sheets, solidified by time and weather, that were discarded from a long gone salmon canning plant that once provided jobs for Bellingham. That day in mid July was warm and sunny.
