A tiny frog, perhaps three inches long, is submerged to the eyeballs in the algae-covered ditch near the Visitor Center at the Billy Frank Jr Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. September, 2016. Billy Frank Jr was a member of the Nisqually tribe, a leader in the Washington environmental movement, an advocate for Native American salmon fishing treaty rights, and a longtime chairman of the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission. The National Refuge was named for him in 2015.
Welcome to my Vagabond Photography site. Much of my work is shot in Washington state, though I also wander other places in the western US and in southern British Columbia. I hope you enjoy the images of the places, things, and people that are displayed here. Vagabond Photography means seeking interesting, fun, remarkable sights, being a will-o'-the-wisp in search of the unusual, the beautiful, the engaging, and the truly awe inspiring. Perhaps you'd like to join me on my journeys. Welcome to my corner of the world! Welcome to Vagabond Photography, vagabonding (wandering) across the Pacific Northwest.
