Description
Acme, Washington, is a small community on State Route 9, eight miles south of Deming and the Mt Baker Highway. In late September, an apple tree has lost most of its delicious red fruit. A few apples still hang on the lower branches on the right, and a few more are on the grass near the trunk. Behind a white farm building, the North Cascade foothills that cradle the South Fork of the Nooksack River are still green.
