Description
Northwest of Bend, Oregon, a traveler finds cattle country. Barbed wire fences stretch for miles, marking the domain of sagebrush, a few junipers, and some beef cattle. Heavy snows, strong winds, and itchy cattle can knock down a fence, so heavy boxes of rocks serve as anchors for the barbed wire.
