Description
Bald eagles come to the Semiahmoo Spit, across Drayton Harbor from Blaine, each January. Snags such as this one are scattered along the Semiahmoo Spit and make welcome roosts for bald eagles to watch for, and eat, fish, particularly salmon as they make their seasonal journeys to their spawning sites.
