Two chestnut horses and a Shetland pony trot away from the camera on a small farm SR 9 in Skagit County. The horses heard the click of my shutter, looked me over casually, then trotted away. Apparently, I didn't speak to their agent before trying to photograph them. In August, some leaves are just starting to turn color.
