Three white plastic chairs and two pink wooden benches line Orondo Avenue in Wenatchee, waiting patiently for the Apple Blossom Grand Parade. The Parade is the culmination of the Washington State Apple Blossom Festival in late April and early May. Parade watchers claim their spots by setting out chairs and benches early, sometimes weeks in advance. The spot holding chairs and benches are never disturbed or moved.
