Artist's Description
Rusty Tanks and White Herald Building. Four of six rusty tanks stand on the Bellingham waterfront, testaments to bygone industry. The white Herald building stands in downtown in the background. The tanks were used by Georgia Pacific from 1963 to 2001 in its pulp mill and toilet paper production facility. The waterfront area was sold to the City in 2007. The newspaper staff moved from the Herald building in 2019, though the building is still used by offices, shops, and WWU. January, 2020.
