A memorial without a name is planted in the sand and gravel soil just off US 84 near Abiquiu New Mexico. Five crosses, two of aging, weathered wood, three of molded iron that are beginning to rust, are a reminder of someone who passed this way before. The blue cloth rosettes on the wooden crosses still look new - someone tends this memorial. High desert bunchgrass and juniper trees are the natural landscaping for this place of memories. September, 2018.
