The Mt Baker Highway climbs over 10,000 to Artist Point, the highest point accessible by cars. Mt Baker is 10,781 feet high, and Artist Point is near the top. On a September day, a traveler finds this magnificent view of the last few curves of the road to the top and of the North Cascades, north into Canada.
