Artist's Description
Cascade Locks is a small town on the Oregon shore of the Columbia River, 40 some miles east of Portland. The port is home to the sternwheeler Columbia Gorge and a number of sail boats and small pleasure craft. The hills that cradle the Columbia Gorge on the Oregon side of the River are to the right, the Washington slopes and the river (out of sight) are on the left. The sky was partly cloudy on a late July afternoon. July, 2019.
