The Columbia River flows mightily southwest from Pateros Lake, then makes an elbow turn south at Pateros. The Methow River, flowing down from the North Cascades, meets the Columbia at the small town of Pateros. Pateros City Park reclines on the western shore of the Columbia. This playground on the Columbia has opportunities for active exercise on this round jungle gym and benches and trails for contemplation. In early November, one tree has lost its leaves, while a willow on the shore is still green. Apple orchards and basalt cliffs are on the far side of the river. November, 2018.
Welcome to my Vagabond Photography site. Much of my work is shot in Washington state, though I also wander other places in the western US and in southern British Columbia. I hope you enjoy the images of the places, things, and people that are displayed here. Vagabond Photography means seeking interesting, fun, remarkable sights, being a will-o'-the-wisp in search of the unusual, the beautiful, the engaging, and the truly awe inspiring. Perhaps you'd like to join me on my journeys. Welcome to my corner of the world! Welcome to Vagabond Photography, vagabonding (wandering) across the Pacific Northwest.
