Description
The US side of a monument to the Oregon Centennial Treaty in Peace Arch State Park in Blaine, Washington, on the Canada-US border. The plaque reads, "In commemoration of the centennial of the signing of the Oregon Boundary Treaty of 1846. This monument was erected jointly by Canadians and Americans on the international boundary line which has always remained unfortified and undefended, the symbol of peace and amity between two great peoples. June 15, 1946." A similar plaque is on the reverse side in Canada. June, 2023.
