Artist's Description
A single lane, steel-framed bridge carries Mosquito Lake Road across the Middle Fork of the Nooksack River. The Pennsylvania, pin-connected, through truss bridge was originally built in 1915 to carry Guide Meridian Road across the Nooksack River. In 1951, the bridge was replaced by a larger bridge at that site, and the bridge in this image was moved to its present location and two spans were removed to transport it, shortening it from 380 feet to 338 feet long. When installed, two new approach panels were added, making the current length 423 feet. August, 2020.
