Atop Mt. Baker, some 54 miles east of Bellingham, Washington, in the high Cascades, trees below tree line sometimes grow as thick as the hair on a dog (Pete Seeger). Sometimes, one tree stands out, windblown and majestic, defying the winter snows and harsh winds. This is such a tree, demonstrating the art ot trees.
