The mighty Columbia River rises in Canada, pours southward across Washington on its way to the sea. Along the way, the Columbia passes Riverside Park in Wenatchee where sculptures such as this iron ball overlooking the River can be admired. The ball is roughly six feet in diameter, not an easy roll down the street. Bright sunshine made sharply etched shadows in September, 2016.
