Guemes Channel separates Anacortes on the north end of Fidalgo Island on the right from Guemes Island, the thin line on the horizon. Guemes Channel Trail, far right, runs from the Ship Harbor, where the San Juan Island Ferries dock, eastward towards downtown Anacortes. Most of the trail will run on the Anacortes segment of the track bed of the historic Seattle and Northern Railway that ran from Anacortes to Rockport. March, 2021.
