Chimayo, New Mexico is a village in northern New Mexico. The Santuario (Sanctuary) de Chimayo is a haven for religious pilgrims and visitors year around and especially on Good Friday. This Marian grotto is on the grounds of the Santuario. It was November 3, in the high country, usually cold, but a bright sun in an azure sky, a blue only found in New Mexico it seems, graced the grotto and the golden cottonwood tree behind it. November, 2015.

Perhaps you'd like to join me on my journeys. Welcome to my corner of the world! Welcome to Vagabond Photography, vagabonding (wandering) across the Pacific Northwest.
