The annual Memorial Day Ski to Sea race includes cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, running, cycling, canoeing (18.5 miles down the Nooksack River), cyclocross, and kayaking, a total of 100 miles. When the cycling part of the team arrives at Everson's Riverside Park, the canoe members of the team can start. A green canoe, a red canoe, silver canoe we can see a rainbow of canoes waiting for the cycling team to arrive.
