Snow dusted foothills of the North Cascades reflect dimly in Lake Chelan on a hazy late March day. Early morning rising sun delicately taps the highest peaks, while homes on the south shore wait for sunshine to warm the day. A barista told me the night before was the first time the nighttime temperature had stayed above freezing.
