The Wenatchee River is placid just above the Tumwater Canyon Dam that once provided electricity for 100-ton, Great Northern, electric locomotives that worked Stevens Pass. Beyond this warning sign, the river drops abruptly over the 23 feet high dam. River rafters and kayakers could find themselves in serious peril. May 2017.
