The Spokane River Centennial Trail is a 37 mile paved walking and cycling trail that parallels the Spokane River, stretching from Nine Mile Falls in eastern Washington, eastward through Spokane, and continuing through Post Falls to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The trail tracks both sides of the Spokane River as it passes through Spokane. This pedestrian bridge carries the Trail across the River between Gonzaga University, on the near shore, to the Washington State University Spokane campus on the far side.
