The Bridgeport Bridge, built in 1950, carries State Route 17 across the Columbia River between the town of Bridgeport, left of image, and the Chief Joseph Dam just upriver, about a mile to the right of the image. In early spring, the hills of north central Washington are still dusted with snow. March, 2019.
