Artist's Description
Heavy steel I-beams once supported the historic Northern Pacific Railroad (later the Burlington Northern) bridge, which was built in 1902. A concrete bridge pier is decorated with a mural of a bicycle with a basket and tassels on the handlebars. The mural is titled
Going to Ride and was painted by Janet Wyer in 2016. The bridge now carries the Centennial Trail, a recreational trail for hiking and cycling.Septembers, 2022.
