Artist's Description
Beebe Bridge is a steel arch bridge, completed in 1962, that carries US 97 over the Columbia River below the City of Chelan. The concrete tower on the left (a matching tower on the right is behind the vegetation) supported the Old Beebe Bridge, a wooden suspension bridge built in 1919 by the Beebe family to transport their crops and pipe irrigation water to their orchards on the east side of the river. July, 2022.
