Artist's Description
A sculpture by tribal artist Smoker Marchand depicts Chilcosahaskt, a chief of the Entiat tribe, as the Chief prays on horseback. Yellow grass and dusty tan hills rise behind him at the entrance to the Entiat City Park. The Entiat were a small Salishan tribe who lived along the Entiat River in Washington state. Entiat is 20 miles up the Columbia River from Wenatchee, Washington. September, 2016.
