Description
In 1851, Issac Ebey filed a claim for 640 acres (one square mile), on the southwestern shore of Whidbey Island, south of Penn Cove. The land was fertile, producing wheat, corn, and other crops. Ebeys home and blockhouse were on the bluff in the distance. Today, the claim has been divided into several large farms that stretch across the prairie. July, 2022,
