At the west end of H Street in Blaine, a cement plaza stretches out towards the BNSF tracks. A sculpture of a grandmother, mother, and son holding his dog graces the H Street Plaza. Named the Vigil Sculpture, it honors families who wait at home for the fishing fleet to return from cold, northern Pacific waters. The Plaza has seasonal decorations, candy canes and snowflakes, in early December.
Welcome to my Vagabond Photography site. Much of my work is shot in Washington state, though I also wander other places in the western US and in southern British Columbia. I hope you enjoy the images of the places, things, and people that are displayed here. Vagabond Photography means seeking interesting, fun, remarkable sights, being a will-o'-the-wisp in search of the unusual, the beautiful, the engaging, and the truly awe inspiring. Perhaps you'd like to join me on my journeys. Welcome to my corner of the world! Welcome to Vagabond Photography, vagabonding (wandering) across the Pacific Northwest.
