The shore of the Columbia River is rocky where the River passes Pateros City Park. The Park and much of the lower area of the small town of Pateros were rebuilt or moved by the Douglas County PUD in the 1960s when the old town was flooded by construction of Wells Dam, eight miles downriver. November, 2018.
