Description

Memorial Park in Arlington is dedicated to military veterans who were from Arlington. A granite memorial stone states the the monument is dedicated to veterans who served and to veterans who gave their lives. Each of the bricks in the square around the base of the memorial bears the name of a veteran. Some of the bricks also indicate the military job, such as MP and combat photographer, and some include the war, such as WW I, Burma, Vietnam, or the place of service, the USS Arizona. The tiled box with the hex symbols is for sitting and contemplation. February, 2023.
