A stone plinth in Baker City's Geiser Pollman Park honors the American Cowboy. The valley that was the site of massive livestock gatherings from 1876 to 1890 lies between the Wallowa Mountains to the east and the Elkhorn Mountains, part of the Blue Mountains, on the west. August, 2018.
