Guemes Island Ferry Dock. Guemes Island is just across the narrow Guemes Strait from Anacortes. The Guemes Ferry makes the crossing twice an hour most days from 6:30 in the morning until 8:30 pm weekdays and until 11:00 pm on weekends. The crossing takes five minutes. The ferry can carry 21 vehicles and 99 passengers, and carries 200,000 vehicles and 400,000 passengers a year. November, 2017.
