In early November, the Skykomish River flows quietly along the south side of Monroe, Washington. At this time of year, the river is shallow, gravel bars and sand bars covered with alders divide the river into smaller streams. A fisher in waders shares the river with his canine companion and tries his luck at steelhead trout. November 2019
