Rattlesnake Ridge is a line of dusty, brown hills southeast of Yakima, Washington. Late in 2017, a narrow crack in the earth could be seen stretching across the southern slope of Rattlesnake Ridge.A slow moving earth slide, the gap in early March, 2018, is several hundred feet long and several yards wide, and threatens the rock quarry below. The gap is the dark line in the center of this image, above the quarry rock crushing towers.
