Description
A tree washed ashore at the Blaine Pier on Semiahmoo Bay. The driftwood was charred by fire, perhaps in a forest fire in a distant land, perhaps by beach walkers on the Blaine pier. The driftwood is a natural sculpture, created by time and tide, fire and water. Weathered stumps of old pier pilings march into the bay behind the charred branches. Homes in White Rock, BC, are visible across the Bay.
