Artist's Description
Early May east of Leavenworth, miles of apple orchards turn a lovely white as the apple blossoms herald the coming of delicious fruit. When ripe, the apples are picked by hand and dumped into large wooden boxes like these, waiting by the road to be put to work in the fall harvest and transported to the wholesale warehouses. Deep blue sky, lacy white clouds, dusty gray road, faded red boxes, cheerful green grass, and white apple blossoms make a palette of color for Mother Nature. May, 2017.
