Patches of cornflower blue sky hide behind dainty clouds above the Hovander Homestead house in Ferndale, Washington. A white picket fence protects parts of the front yard. The 6800 square foot house was build by Swedish Architect Hakan Hovander in 1901-1903 on a 260 acre farm along the Nooksack River. It is now a museum with period furniture owned by Whatcom County Parks and Rec.
Welcome to my Vagabond Photography site. Much of my work is shot in Washington state, though I also wander other places in the western US and in southern British Columbia. I hope you enjoy the images of the places, things, and people that are displayed here. Vagabond Photography means seeking interesting, fun, remarkable sights, being a will-o'-the-wisp in search of the unusual, the beautiful, the engaging, and the truly awe inspiring. Perhaps you'd like to join me on my journeys. Welcome to my corner of the world! Welcome to Vagabond Photography, vagabonding (wandering) across the Pacific Northwest.
