The beach at Bay View State Park curves gently along the shore of Padilla Bay. The mostly gravel beach is strewn with large driftwood logs, washed up by the waves and tides of the Salish Sea. On the first day of spring, the beach was a delightful place for four mothers to walk with their children. The last in line is carrying her sandals, enjoying the feel of the beach.
