Description
An expressive metal sculpture, lifting up the thoughts of visitors, is a focus of contemplation and reflection at the corner of Meadow Lane and Overlook Road in White Rock. Three black benches encourage travelers to rest and contemplate the shapes under a crystal blue, cloudless New Mexico sky in early September. The sculpture resembles the mushroom cloud of a nuclear blast. White Rock was a residential community for Los Alamos where the first atomic bombs were built. The parklet on the corner is surrounded by shades of green of pinon, juniper, pine, and sage. September, 2018.
